5 Places to Shop for Mommy and Me Outfits

Before having a daughter, I really didn’t give much thought to coordinating mommy and me outfits. But let me tell you, for a time, it was one of my favorite things. We twinned for parties, Mother’s Day celebrations, and just everyday life special occasions and DEFINITELY ‘coordinated’ for holidays and family photos.  Naturally, there came a time when she wanted her own style and I wanted her to be her own person, but it was so sweet when she was small. If you’d love to find matching mommy and me outfits too, then look no further. Here are the top 5 favorite places to find ’em!

1. Old Navy – What I love about Old Navy as an option is that they are so affordable. For the most part items are not exact replicas. I would say they’re more coordinating than matching (which….in case you’re wondering is FABULOUS for family photos and we are heading into the season I always do mine! Here are a few tips for what to wear in those photos.) But you’ll definitely get the most bang for your buck, and that’s why they’re my #1 go-to! 2. Lilly Pulitzer – Lilly creates beautiful, bright clothing in show-stopping prints. Their mommy and me options are created in the exact matching prints, which I love. They are a bit pricier, but you can always check consignment stores and online selling groups to find these sets too. See their current prints here…..so many fabulous options  (yes! for the holidays as well) – it is hard to choose.
3. Walmart – If affordability is important to you, then Walmart is another option you’ll love. They don’t always have matching mommy and me dresses all year long, but right now they have some AMAZING options. They always have so many spring and summer options and a bunch that can help the transition between the seasons….but they are definitely ready for cooler temperatures now.
4. Hanna Andersson – Comfort is the name of the game for Hanna Andersson. Look for matching casual dresses, tees, and yes, they are KNOWN for their matching family pajamas. Check ’em out here.
5. Etsy – If you want something truly unique or custom, Etsy is the way to go. A quick search of “mother daughter matching outfit” on the site brings up more than 7700 options (wow!), so you’ll be sure to find something that’s your and you mini’s style! I especially love this plaid set and matching winter hats.
