My small people went back to school this past week. Each morning, I fed them breakfast. I packed them lunch and snacks. And I made dinner in the evening. All of these meals give my new 2nd grader and kindergartner the energy they need to LEARN.
My kids are lucky. We are lucky. We don’t worry about providing food for our children. But millions of parents right here in the United States do. And it breaks my heart.
For the third time, I am partnering with the Con Agra Foods Foundation to combat this problem. One in four kids is hungry. This? Is unacceptable.
This newest Child Hunger Ends Here campaign makes the connection between schools and hunger. Joining forces with Schools Fight Hunger and Feeding America, Con Agra is encouraging you to register your child’s school for ‘Schools Fight Hunger’. (This can be done at ChildHungerEndsHere.com) Once registered, your school can join the fight by hosting a Food Drive or by turning in UPC labels from participating on Agra brands. For each label, Con Agra will donate one meal to Feeding America.
How easy is that?
