A few weeks ago, my small dude came running to me on a Sunday evening, “Mommy, I totally forgot to tell you….I’m Star of the Week this week’.
I started to sweat a little as I had a vague memory of Delaney having been Star of the Week when she was in fourth grade as well. It involves answering a slew of questions on a poster – including the selected Star’s favorite food, favorite movie and book, his/her role model, a little about their family, something no one in the class might know about them AND PHOTOGRAPHS.
It was the photo portion of the program that had me most nervous. Why? Because I suspected Cooper knew exactly which pictures he wanted to include…..and those currently existed only on my computer and phone.
What’s the big deal, you ask? I was 95% sure my printer was out of ink. At 7pm on a Sunday night, there is no where to go for refills or replacements.
And my little guy’s heart was set on sharing a picture of himself pitching as well as one with St. Louis Rams player, Todd Gurley from a recent commercial shoot with Play 60.
Running out of ink doesn’t sound like a panic-inducing moment until you need to print. (and your child is counting on you!)
It could be a contract, a school flyer that is due TODAY, or, in my case, important photos.
But let me tell you a little secret: HP has the HP Instant Ink program that helps you never run out of ink again. It works a little like this: You sign up for HP Instant Ink. Plans range from $2.99 to $9.99 a month based on how much you typically print. Once you are enrolled, your PRINTER communicates with HP when you are running low and ink is instantly sent to your home. Magic, right? Sure does feel like it at 7pm on a Sunday when you need ink!
Let’s go over that again…. Say you print roughly 80 pages a month, you’d choose the $4.99/month plan. (Any pages you don’t use are rolled over to your next month). The moment you start to run low, your SUPER SMART printer communicates directly with HP and you’ll be answering the door for an Instant Ink delivery.
A few additional things you definitely need to know:
- Enrolling in HP Instant Ink saves you money. Let’s talk about that same 80 pages a month printing and the $4.99 monthly plan. Annually, the HP Instant Ink plan would cost you $60 for the year. Heading to the store to purchase standard sized cartridges would run about $264. That is a $200 savings.
- Even better: if you enroll before December 31st, HP Instant Ink will give you six months of free ink. Crazy, amazing deal.
So, let’s think about this for a minute – you and I can save up to 50% (or more annually) on ink, with the additional bonus of six months free AND we will never have a Sunday evening Star of the Week fiasco? Perfection.
The answers to all the questions you might have can be found here – like – Which printers are eligible? (there are 17), Just how much could I save with each program option? Are there annual fees? (no) What is the cost of shipping? ($0 – it is included in your monthly fee), How can we recycle? (HP makes it easy).
Go. Print without worry. Enjoy.
