It is no secret that water is good for your skin.
But just how good?
And have you ever actually tested the theory?
Good news for you, I have.
As part of an overall committment to health, I had decided to fill up on water. Admittedly – my initial motivation was more my tummy than a tightening of my skin, but OH THE BENEFITS!
You probably don’t need me to tell you that staying hydrated
1) Boosts your mood
2) Helps you to lose weight
3) Can be a natural remedy for a headache
4) Can help with digestion
But lets talk skin….
When you are drinking enough to truly keep you hydrated – which means you don’t reach a point of thirst…. you can visibly see a few benefits:
Your skins will be tighter since the water you are taking in will be replenishing the tissue.
The water intake naturally increases the elasticity making your fine lines lessen.
The water acts as a natural moisturizer – giving a ‘brightening’ effect….
And if you need a little extra motivation because you find water ‘boring’, infuse it with fruit or other goodies – lemons, limes, apples, cucumber or mint.
(oh…. and how much should you drink? Depending on the expert you ask – some still argue for the full eight 8-ounce glasses a day, while others say you should be drinking – in ounces – half of your body weight…. so if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink 75 ounces of water a day)
Enjoy….
