Happy Holidays, my friends.
So excited to share one of my new favorite recipes with you. (It’s one you’ll make over and over again to spoil family and friends – any maybe even yourself as well.)
This time of year, we hop from home to home for holiday celebrations and do plenty of planning to have family with us over Christmas. And that doesn’t even include the parties I love to have here. I’m always looking for the best desserts, the best appetizers to bring or serve.
There is nothing better than watching something you’ve made quickly disappear as people keep coming back to finish it all off. These Hot Chocolate Holiday Cupcakes are JUST that decadent treat. They combine everything we love about this time of year – hot chocolate, marshmallows and candy canes.
Here’s everything you need to make them.
Hot Chocolate Holiday Cupcakes
Ingredients
- Chocolate Cake Mix
- Hot Chocolate Mix
- White Cupcake Icing
- Mini Candy Canes
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Mini Marshmallows
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a 12 cup cupcake pan with liners (love the idea of using red to make them festive).
- Prepare the cake mix according to directions but include the hot chocolate mix. Pour into the cupcake pan.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool.
- Use this Betty Crocker Cupcake Frosting for easy piping or regular white frosting. Pipe the white frosting onto the cupcakes.
- Put candy canes into a ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin or the bottom of a glass cup.
- Add the crushed candy canes on top of the cupcakes along with the mini chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
- Hook a mini candy cane on the side.
Happy Holidays, my friends.
