You know what I do when I’m hungry (and sometimes even when I’m not?)
I head to the pantry, to the fridge, to the secret stash in my desk….and I eat. I don’t think about it. I never worry if there is enough.
It pains me to even think there are 36 million Americans who can’t be as cavalier. They don’t have enough to take care of meal times – let alone snacks. 12 million of those are children.
Their pantries are empty. Their refrigerators? Nada. And worse – imagine the pain of not being able to feed your kids.
That makes me ache.
Here is a little something that makes me feel better.
(updated August 31, 2018 – video is no longer available)
I love when powerful people, like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, stand up and fight.
I love when powerful companies – like Kelloggs – say, ‘we want to make a change’ and then they do it.
Kellogg and Katalyst – a social media company co-founded by Kutcher and Jason Goldberg will raise awareness about the hunger epidemic. Together, they will call on people like you and me to donate to Feeding America – our nation’s leading hunger relief organization.
And that video you just saw? Those every day people? They responded to twitter requests from Demi and Ashton to help end hunger.
