OK, I’ll admit it….my kids are driving my crazy.
It could be the fighting. It could be they are closer to me than my shadow at all times. In could be repetition: “Mommy, can I have a piece of candy?” – “Of course….as soon as you finish your lunch.” followed by, “Mommy, can I have a piece of candy? Mommy, can I have a piece of candy?” Over and over again.
It could be that I am fairly certain only the neighborhood dogs can hear me when I speak – since clearly my children can’t hear me. It could be the sick-fever-sick-cough stuff that is already beginning and we’ve barely scratched the surface of cold weather (I do recognize this isn’t their fault, per se). It could be that the little one has chosen to color on my walls with marker.
Whatever the reason, I find myself a little impatient with them.
But, if I watch carefully, there will ALWAYS be a silver lining:
She is learning to read and spell. She sounded it out….spelled MOM and was so proud.
So, I take a deep breath and start over.
